Phasmophobia Crosses 1 Million Players on Consoles

After multiple delays, Kinetic Games’ acclaimed co-op horror title Phasmophobia finally launched for consoles at the end of October, and since its release, it’s attracted players in impressive numbers, as per the developer.

Taking to Twitter, Kinetic Games revealed that Phasmophobia has surpassed 1 million players across PS5, PS VR2, and Xbox Series X/S since launching for the platforms roughly a month ago. Earlier this year, the studio announced that the game had sold over 20 million units on PC alone since launching for the platform in early access back in 2020, and clearly the game has continued its enduring success on consoles as well.

In our review of the game’s PS5 version, we awarded it a score of 8/10, saying, &#8220…

Zola backs Jorginho to battle Messi for Ballon d´Or

Gianfranco Zola believes midfielder Jorginho would be a deserving winner of the Ballon d Or despite Lionel Messi s claims on the award.

Jorginho finished the 2020-21 campaign as Chelsea s leading Premier League scorer with seven goals, albeit each of those came from the penalty spot.

He carried that form into Euro 2020, playing every game for Italy in their successful campaign that ended with a penalty shoot-out win over England at Wembley.

Jorginho actually missed from the spot in the final, but he otherwise enjoyed an impeccable tournament for the Azzurri.

The Brazilian-born player led the way in terms of interceptions at Euro 2020 with 25, substantially more than Chelsea team-mate N Golo Kante (14), who was next best.

Meanwhile, Jorginho s 484 …

Roma interested in Sokratis

According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Italian side Roma are going after Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos this summer.

The news comes in the wake of their failure to complete the signing of Manchester United defender Chris Smalling, with the England international’s future now looking even more uncertain than ever before.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta clearly wants to build this squad in a way that suits his vision of the direction that the club is going in, and there’s a good chance Sokratis may not have a role to play under the Spaniard.

The 32-year-old has been at the Emirates since back in 2018 when he made the jump over from Borussia Dortmund, and while he has certainly had his fair share of ups and downs with the Gunners, one h…

Villa make a right royal impression with narrow Europa Conference League victory

Aston Villa earned royal approval as the Prince of Wales watched his beloved club beat Lille 2-1 in the first leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final at Villa Park.

Goals in either half from Ollie Watkins and John McGinn saw Villa lead their first European last-eight tie since 1998 and give boss Unai Emery victory in his 1,000th match as a manager.

Prince William and his son Prince George celebrated the goals wildly but will have been concerned about what happened at the other end.

We ll take a one-goal lead to France next week.

Allegri shrugs off Pjanic return talk as Juventus boss plots new role for Ramsey

Massimiliano Allegri shrugged off talk of a possible Juventus return for Miralem Pjanic, saying Aaron Ramsey could instead be used in a deeper role this season.

Pjanic left for Barcelona last year in a swap deal with Arthur, but his time in Spain has been unhappy, the midfielder starting just six LaLiga games under Ronald Koeman in 2020-21.

There is speculation the 31-year-old wants to move back to Turin, where he could reunite with Allegri, the coach under whom he won six trophies in Italy.

Allegri, though, appears more interested in transforming Ramsey into a defensive midfielder ahead of the start of 2021-22.

The Wales international started at the base of a midfield three in Saturday s 2-1 friendly win over Monza, regaining possession four times and co…

Atletico Madrid v Villarreal: Hosts want more of the same

Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez has called for more of the same as his side prepare to host Villarreal on Sunday.

While much of the attention has been on Real Madrid and their 19-match winning streak, as well as the arrival of Luis Suarez at Barcelona, last season s Liga champions have quietly gone about their work.

Diego Simeone s side lie third in the table, just four points behind their in-form city rivals Real.

A run of five successive wins ended in Turin on Tuesday, but Atletico s goalless UEFA Champions League draw at Juventus was enough to ensure they finished on top of Group A meaning they could avoid some of European football s heavyweights in Monday s draw for the last 16.

It was a thoroughly professional performance from Atleti, who ab…

Brescia´s Tonali appears to confirm Milan move

Brescia and Italy sensation Sandro Tonali appeared to confirm his transfer to Serie A giants Milan via social media.

Tonali is reportedly set to undergo his Milan medical on Wednesday ahead of his €35million switch from Brescia.

The 20-year-old midfielder, compared to Italian great Andrea Pirlo, had been tipped to join city rivals Inter following his exploits for Brescia.

But Tonali – a Milan fan as a child – seemingly announced his move to the Rossoneri before any official announcement.

Tonali uploaded a picture of himself as a child, wearing a Milan shirt via Instagram, with the caption: Blame the fairytales .

A technically gifted midfielder renowned for his dribbling and passing abilities, Tonali scored once and registered seven assists f…

De Bruyne the best in the Premier League, says Hazard

Eden Hazard has declared Belgium colleague Kevin De Bruyne to be the best player in the Premier League.

Chelsea playmaker Hazard scooped the PFA and Football Writers Association Player of the Year awards for his displays during the 2014-15 season and also inspired Antonio Conte s side to Premier League glory last time around.

Manchester City are leading the charge to dethrone Chelsea this time around and De Bruyne has been their standout performer with a series of impeccable midfield performances.

Speaking ahead of Belgium s friendly at home to Mexico on Friday, Hazard was quick to concede his compatriot is currently number one in England s top flight.

Kevin is definitely the best player in the Premier League at the moment,  he said.

Pogba among best five players in the world – Herrera

Ander Herrera feels Paul Pogba is one of the best five players in the world and is delighted with the midfielder s return to Manchester United.

The France international left Old Trafford for Juventus in 2012, but rejoined United this month for an initial fee of £89million.

Pogba played a key role in Juventus Serie A hegemony in recent years and Herrera has hailed the 24-year-old s versatility.

I think he s a top player, maybe one of the best five players in the world that we have with us so it s very important, Herrera told MUTV.

He can recover the ball, he can shoot on goal, he can dribble and he can defend so he has everything. We are so lucky because we have him.

When you think about the best players in the world they are very good but m…

Let’s protect the players – Mikel Arteta criticises scheduling as Arsenal go top

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta stood in unison with Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola in condemning the fixture schedule.

Guardiola said it was “unacceptable” that his side had to play an FA Cup semi-final less than 72 hours after being in action in the Champions League on Wednesday night as they beat Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday tea-time.

The Gunners’ plight was arguably worse as they were also in Europe on Wednesday night but had to travel back from Germany on Thursday following their Champions League exit to Bayern Munich.
